Re: 11th Annual Community Crime Awareness Day
On behalf of the 2011 Community Crime Awareness Day (CCAD) organizing committee, we would like to invite you to be a part of ourevent this year.
The CCAD is hosted by the Mississauga Chinese Business Association in
partnership with the Peel Regional Police, Rogers Television and Safe City
Mississauga. It serves as a tool for citizens to come together and learn about
community safety and policing issues in the region, emphasizing cohesion and
municipal harmony.
This year, the event will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the
newly opened Mississauga Celebration Square, 300 City Centre Drive.
In order to raise awareness of the social requirements for the older adults and
seniors, our event theme this year will be Salute to Seniors. Last year, the
event has attracted more than 10,000 people and we anticipate this yearˇ¦s event
will attract an even greater audience.
Keeping Mississauga safe needs to be a joint initiative among, our community
leaders, our police service and the community at large. While Mississauga has
been recognized as the safest city among Canadaˇ¦s nine largest cities since 2000,
we need your help to advise and inform local residents of the many programs and
policing activities offered by Peel Regional Police, so together, we can nurture
an understanding of each other and build an awareness of safety within our
communities and the entire region.
We invite you to explore opportunities where we can work together to make this community event a continued success. Attached are just some of the ways in which you and/or your organization can help.
On behalf of the CCAD organizing committee, we thank you in advance for your
